Once a year Germany’s second-biggest fest (after Oktoberfest in Munich), the Stuttgart Cannstatter Wasen, takes place. A great number of Landlords and Breweries are setting up their beer halls and try to get the visitor’s attention with country-typical brews and foods.
WORK REQUIRED
Our customer, Göckelesmaier, the oldest landlord on the Cannstatter Wasen, wanted to illustrate the construction of their new beer hall. To show the progress that took place over a 4 weeks span, we decided to use a new timelapse technology. The film was shown once every evening and got many cheers and applause.
OUR STRATEGY
MXO used a motorized, motion-controlled camera dolly to smoothly move the camera over long periods of time – the longest being two whole days. The resulting footage was 3D-tracked and advanced projection techniques were used in post-production to add even more camera motion.
